Dear Friends,
Sunshine and warmth have finally arrived in Vermont after inches of snowfall just days ago. The blossom is looking resplendent outside my shop window. When I step into the workshop, I can almost forget about the devastation Covid 19 is creating around the globe. I feel guilty saying my day hasn't changed that much. Working in the shop by myself, on my own property, I don't have a long commute to a bustling office. I cannot imagine how all of you, who live in cities and large metropolitan areas, are coping. I pray this pandemic has spared you, your family and friends.
Ironically, I am currently very busy and grateful for it. I've designed and crafted a bedroom set for a lovely local couple, and a sweet corner stand for an old family friend. And my son, George, who is a photographer and videographer, has taken some photos for me - at long last! His are the shots of the "Design Challenge" below.
For more of George's fine work visit his website: GeorgeLomasPhotography.
Give me a call if you're noticing its time to update that dining set you inherited from your parents, when you moved into your first home. Or the bedroom set you bought used, so many years ago. Perhaps you are now working from home and are realizing this may be a permanent or semi-permanent situation... lets design a beautiful new desk, standing desk, credenza etc... that will bring you joy every day you walk into your home office.
Spring is a time of change and renewal. Let's hope for better times ahead.
With best wishes,
John
